Digital photography is easy if you know what you are doing and how your camera and computer can work together. Instead of a dark room we now use the computer to process our digital images using specialist software packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements or the popular but much more basic Google Picassa.
Camera Appreciation
Training on the use of your camera can cover areas such as camera controls and settings, menus, exposure control, flash photography, High Dynamic Range (HDR), macro photography, wedding and portrait photography.
Camera training can encompass both consumer cameras and digital SLR cameras
Image Processing Software
Software training can include the basics of Adobe Photoshop for image correction, Adobe Photoshop Elements and Google Picassa for both image correction and image organisation and management and Adobe Lightroom for image organisation and management, together with specialist software such as Sofortbild for shoot-direct-to-disk photography where the camera is tethered to the computer.
Subjects Covered
The basics of composition and lighting are covered together with how to use your camera in different situations and lighting conditions.
Learn to correct colour, luminosity and red-eye, together with cropping, image sharpening, image correction tools, layers and masks in order to create image composites and special effects which can then be combined with the creative use of text.
Photography subjects covered can also include Adobe Camera Raw for those who wish to shoot in the raw digital negative formats available with todays digital SLR cameras.
Groups or Individuals
Training can be done either on a group basis (subject to sufficient numbers of enrollments), or on an individual one-to-one basis for those requiring more intensive training.
